Inspiring Woman - 2015

Maranda Helmick

Maranda Helmick has been honored as the Integrity Beauty Inspiring Woman. Maranda has lived in Ohio her whole life of 18 years and currently resides in Fowler, OH. She is a graduate of Joseph Badger High School and is currently furthering her education at Youngstown State University. In the past, Maranda has taken many different endeavors, such as Trumbull County 4H, JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes research Foundation), Girl Scouts, Hartford Apple Festival Pageant, American Diabetes Walk for a Cure, soccer, cross country, track, and cheerleading. Maranda loves to support fundraising activities for local 5K runs, American Diabetes Walk as a Team Captain and Red Stripes Leader, and annually works with her uncle who organizes fundraising activities toward diabetes in her name.

Maranda lives with her mom, dad, and younger brother, where her and her family raise pigs for 4H at the county fair. Along with pig farming, Maranda also enjoys running and being artistic.

At a young age Maranda was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. She has struggled many years to get her disease under control, but looks at her struggles as a way to help and inform others. One of her goals in life is to be an advocate to help and inspire other juvenile diabetics to get them on the right track. She hopes to tell them her story with her disease and encourage them to do the right things to take care of themselves. One big supporter in her life was her Nana. Her Nana was a remarkable woman who helped raise and care for Maranda. At an age too young she found out she had colon cancer and passed away when Maranda was the age of 13. At this point in her life, Maranda felt alone and discouraged. She had lost faith in what matters the most and had begun to doubt God. Recently, her faith was restored when Jesus came to her in a dream. At that point she realized that God wants her to be restored. That God is waiting for her to give her life to Jesus. That once she does that everything will be okay. Since then, Maranda has been regularly attending church and talks to the Lord every day. He has changed her life.

Maranda has joined Integrity Beauty to become closer to God and to inspire others to have faith. Despite her doubt in Him, He has still given her a chance. She has joined to help others and to become the woman God has meant for her to become. She hopes to show women that you can do anything through Christ. Nothing is impossible.

Testimonial

"I met Roberta through a couple of my dear friends. She came into my life at the time I needed spiritual guidance and assurance that my life was worth while. She changed my life forever. I was her Ambassador, “Integrity Beauty Woman of Possibilities 2011″ The title was given to me because with her love and support I have learned that “With God, all things are possible”. I wanted to go out and share this specific message to others. And, I strive to make a difference with my own pageant system, Today’s American Woman by enriching women’s lives through teaching them to give back to others by volunteerism and sharing love and acceptance.

Roberta is always inspiring in her sweet words and her messages that she leaves for us. She is truly living Ms Alberts dream to share the words of loving, caring and sharing."
